Payment & Security Policy

This Payment & Security Policy (“Policy”) outlines the security protocols, accepted payment modalities, and data protection frameworks governing all financial transactions executed on BBKrate Bombay (“Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

To ensure the highest tier of transaction security and regulatory compliance within India, BBKrate Bombay has integrated Razorpay (Razorpay Software Private Limited) as our primary authorized payment gateway. By executing a financial transaction on our platform, you acknowledge and agree to the terms specified herein.

1. Authorized Payment Gateway & Ecosystem

All digital collections, checkouts, and monetary settlements on our platform are processed securely via Razorpay. Razorpay acts as the secure intermediary merchant infrastructure linking your banking institution or card issuer with our corporate accounts.

2. Supported Payment Modalities

Through our Razorpay integration, we accept a comprehensive suite of digital payment methods across India. You may choose your preferred option at checkout:

3. Data Protection and Encryption Standards

We treat your financial and personal data with the highest level of legal and technical oversight.

  • End-to-End Encryption: All sessions on our checkout pages are encrypted using industry-standard Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) / Transport Layer Security (TLS) technology. This ensures that any data transferred between your browser and the payment gateway remains entirely unreadable to unauthorized third parties.

  • PCI-DSS Compliance: Razorpay is certified as a PCI-DSS Level 1 Compliant service provider (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard). This represents the most stringent security standard globally established by major card networks.

  • Storage Interdiction: BBKrate Bombay never collects, captures, views, or stores your sensitive financial credentials—including raw card numbers, CVV codes, UPI PINs, or NetBanking passwords—on our local servers or databases. All such inputs are securely tokensized or processed directly through Razorpay’s encrypted environment.

4. Fraud Prevention & Multi-Factor Authentication

To safeguard consumers against unauthorized card utilization and digital identity theft, our payment architecture strictly enforces statutory multi-factor authentication protocols mandated by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).

  • Every credit or debit card transaction requires mandatory 3D Secure (3DS) verification via a One-Time Password (OTP) transmitted to your bank-registered mobile number.

  • UPI transactions must be explicitly authenticated within your respective UPI smartphone application via your secret security PIN.

5. Failed Transactions and Refund Reconciliation

In isolated instances, technical communication dropouts between your bank, the payment gateway, or our servers may result in a transaction failing while funds are simultaneously debited from your account.

Resolution Protocol: If money is deducted from your bank account but your order status on BBKrate Bombay reads as "Failed" or "Pending Checkout," the funds are held securely in a clearing escrow by Razorpay.

In such scenarios:

  1. The banking network automatically initiates a reconciliation protocol.

  2. The incorrectly debited amount is automatically reversed and credited back to your original payment source within 5 to 7 business days without any manual intervention required.

  3. If you do not receive the credit within this window, please contact our support desk with your Razorpay Payment ID for swift escalation.

6. Security Advisory to Users

BBKrate Bombay operates under strict security mandates. Our employees, representatives, or customer service agents will never request you to:

  • Share your credit/debit card numbers, CVV, or card expiry dates over email, SMS, or phone calls.

  • Disclose your UPI PIN, banking passwords, or OTPs.

  • Transfer money directly to individual or personal bank accounts outside the verified Razorpay checkout screen on our official website.

If you receive any suspicious communication claiming to represent BBKrate Bombay and requesting such credentials, please refrain from responding and flag it immediately to our compliance email.
